NMSBIC selects Russell Cummins as Executive Director/Investment Advisor

The New Mexico Small Business Investment Corporation (NMSBIC) has announced the selection of Russell Cummins as Executive Director/Investment Advisor. “The NMSBIC Board is delighted to have someone with the background and experience that Russ Cummins will bring to the Executive Director/Investment Advisor position,” stated Joseph H. Badal, NMSBIC Board Chair and President.

Mr. Cummins is owner of RDC Advisors LLC. He has 29 years of experience with New Mexico financial institutions, and previously served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for Charter Bank in Albuquerque. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Robert O. Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico, and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and business economics from the University of Southern California. He is a graduate of the American Bankers Association School of Bank Investments, the Mortgage Bankers Association School of Mortgage Banking, and Leadership Albuquerque. Mr. Cummins is a member of the board of directors and past board chair for Junior Achievement of New Mexico, and has served as a board member for East Mountain High School, EMHS Foundation, and the New Mexico Mortgage Lenders Association.

The NMSBIC was created in 2001 under the New Mexico Small Business Investment Act to help create new job opportunities throughout the State of New Mexico. The NMSBIC does this by providing equity and debt capital to small businesses through its Lending Program and Equity Program.
